The Southwest United States has an interesting form of pneumonia. It’s called coccidioidomycosis or Coxie or Valley fever. And it’s actually a pneumonia from fungus that’s in this soil here. So if you’ve traveled to the Southwestern part of United States, you’d want to let your doctors know that you may be vulnerable to having Coxy pneumonia as a potential etiology.
