Because the underlying cause of Dupuytren’s disease is genetic, we don’t yet have a cure. We can’t modify your genes to remove the Dupuytren’s genes and replace them with healthy genes. That may be something possible in the future. For the time being, medical care for Dupuytren’s disease is limited to management of the condition and the symptoms that it produces.
