Some people get concerned that the cancer may spread with a biopsy or surgery. This is sort of an old wives tale. We treat these tumors with biopsies and surgeries, and it’s really the only way for diagnosis and treatment. Having a cut or a biopsy or letting the air reach the tumor will not necessarily spread it with these techniques.
