That, with patient education and working on expectations, the recovery is substantially faster than traditional. Most patients are able to walk independently few days after surgery, and with physical therapy programs that are usually outpatient, they’re able to recuperate themselves back to activities of daily living in a matter of weeks. Most patients are able to restore their function in four to six weeks after surgery.
