Hi, I’m Smita Patel. I’m triple board certified in neurology, sleep medicine and integrative medicine. I’m trained in all three fields of medicine, which means I can evaluate one’s nervous system, help with sleep concerns, and I’m knowledgeable about herbs and supplements and other holistic treatments. Given my background, my mission is to help all sidestep years of brain-based struggles, by providing resources so any of us at any age and at any stage of our brain health optimization journey can be successful. I really try to provide a holistic approach to care. I intertwine a personalized approach to allow the body to heal with evidence-based therapies to include either natural medicines, herbs, exercise, sleep, food as medicine or pharmacological interventions. I have written a chapter for Dr. Andrew Weil’s book series, Integrative Sleep. Additionally, I have participated in clinical research studies in the area of sleep medicine and have written book chapters for sleep academic publications on neurological disorders. I enjoy reading and traveling and being with my family. I always try to learn new things to try to keep my brain active. My passion for health comes from being on a journey with my patients and guiding them towards better health and wellness. With the aid of medical therapies and our lifestyle changes, it brings me great joy seeing them live long, healthy, happy lives.
