If you’re not having any issues with consistency or color, you don’t really need to diagnose infantile dyschezia. It’s essentially considered a normal thing for a baby. If you go see your doctor for this, they will want to make sure that you aren’t seeing problematic constipation. So that would be that hard stool, or that would be that issue where you’re not actually physically able to pass stool. They’re going to do a physical exam to make sure your baby is healthy and gaining weight. They might look at their backside and make sure there’s nothing that is anatomically different or making it difficult for them to go to the bathroom. And they will probably want to see a picture of the poop. So go ahead and bring one if you can’t bring an actual poop.
