Most common symptom of arthritis are joint pain, limited mobility, and variable degree of swelling. Some form of arthritis can also cause fever and skin rashes. When you contact your doctor, they will perform a physical examination and look for clues for the diagnosis. Based on the signs and symptoms, your doctor could identify the category of arthritis you have, which includes inflammatory versus non-inflammatory. Signs of inflammatory arthritis include significant joint swelling, warmth over an involved joint, and a significant limited mobility. In case of non-inflammatory arthritis, there is less swelling, less warmth over the involved joint.
