Hi, I’m Dr. Bari Cunningham. I’m a dermatologist, board certified in dermatology and in pediatric dermatology. I’m originally from Santa Monica, California, but I left for most of my medical training. I went to Emory Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia, and then I went to Chicago for my dermatology residency at Northwestern University. And I stayed on in Chicago for extra training in pediatric dermatology at Children’s Memorial Hospital. I then returned to California, my home, and set up practice in full-time academic dermatology at University of California, San Diego for over 10 years. Approximately 10 years ago, I left academic medicine and started, with my partner, Comprehensive Dermatology in 2008. And since 2008, we’ve been a premier dermatology group specializing in dermatology and pediatric dermatology. We do the whole gamut of dermatology, including treating infants all the way through the golden years. I love dermatology because I’m very visual. I love to see the problem in front of me and I love to be able to fix, remove or improve a condition. And I find that most of the conditions in dermatology that we see, we can help patients. And it’s very gratifying. I also love the multi generational aspect of dermatology, and it’s not uncommon for me to treat three or four generations in one family.
