Transcript

I’m an anesthesiologist in Boston, Massachusetts. I’m the Chief of Anesthesia at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. I came to Boston in 2004 from Bogota, Colombia. I trained at the Brigham and Women’s hospital in anesthesia, and then I did a fellowship in an acute pain and renal anesthesia at the same hospital. Currently I work at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Brigham, and I spend most of the time doing anesthesia for ambulatory surgery. The reason I went into anesthesia was to help my patients go through a very stressful time in their lives when they have surgery. I also like to see results right away. And anesthesia provides me with that kind of feeling. I have a wife and two kids and we love to travel around, explore new places and we’re big foodies. The Anesthesia channel is something that you can use in the future if you are faced with any particular kind of surgery or any kind of anesthesia procedure that needs to be done.
