Jessica Madden, MD

Founding Medical Partner

  • Triple board certified in pediatrics, neonatal-perinatal medicine, and lactation (MD, IBCLC)
  • Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School (CWRU) of Medicine and Associate Director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship training program at CWRU’s Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Voted one of Cleveland’s Top Doctors in 2021.
  • Executive board member of the Center for 4th Trimester Care, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving postpartum care for mothers and newborns.

 

Dr. Madden graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1999 with a B.A. in psychology and pre-medicine. She received her M.D. from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1999, where she was awarded the Pediatric Chairman’s Award and inducted into the AOA Medical Honor Society.  She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2006 and her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in 2009. 

 

Dr. Madden is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and actively involved in the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She is a former Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She is presently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine, where she also serves as the Associate Director of their prestigious Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship program.

 

Dr. Madden is an advocate for improving postpartum care for all mothers and babies. She is the founder of Primrose Newborn Care, a newborn medicine and lactation home visiting practice in NE Ohio. She is the main medical advisor for Project NICU, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping NICU parents, and is also on the executive board of the newly founded Center for 4th Trimester Care.  In her free time she enjoys traveling, ballet, yoga, reading, and spending time with her four school-aged children.
