Dr. Enyinna was raised in Nigeria and moved to the United States in 2003 to continue her education. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Lehman College, part of the City University of New York, then went on to obtain her medical degree and complete an internal medicine residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Loma Linda University Medical Center. After her fellowship training at UCSF, she took a faculty position at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, where she is currently an assistant professor.

Dr. Enyinna, currently spends her time treating patients with various kidney diseases, both in the inpatient and the outpatient setting at the University of Vermont Medical Center and in the outpatient setting at a Regional Medical Center in Vermont. She maintains a panel of End Stage Kidney Disease patients on in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis, also functioning as a co-medical director for the in-center hemodialysis unit. Apart from her clinical work, she has an interest in medical education, has been involved in teaching medical trainees since she herself was a medical student and has been invited to give lectures on chronic kidney disease for Primary Care review courses. She is also currently serving as the lead for her Division’s QI project.

Outside of her work with the College of Medicine and the Medical Center, Dr. Enyinna is interested in Global Health nephrology, particularly as it affects Nigerians, and hopes to have a significant impact on public education regarding the prevention and management of chronic kidney disease in Nigeria, as well as helping to make peritoneal dialysis more accessible and affordable for those in Nigeria.
