- Six American board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, endovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology and vascular ultrasound interpretation.
- Serves as vice chairman of the interventional cardiology council at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart in Murfreesboro and Nashville Tennessee and started a complex high risk coronary/endovascular interventional program at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford hospital.
- Served as chairman of the clinical practice taskforce committee at the Society for Vascular Medicine.
Dr. Lichaa completed his medical doctor degree at Saint Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon, then moved to Camden New Jersey where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Hospital / University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He achieved his board certification in Internal Medicine then moved on to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the same university hospital, where he was granted a board certification in Cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and registered physician vascular ultrasound interpretation. He finalized his post-graduate education with two additional fellowships in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular interventions at the same academic institution. He was then granted board certifications in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Medicine.
Dr. Lichaa is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Nashville Tennessee and practices general cardiology, interventional cardiology and endovascular interventions at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford and West, in Murfreesboro and Nashville Tennessee. He is an active faculty in the Cardiology fellowship program of the University of Tennessee Nashville. He was selected as a teaching faculty at the annual Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions’ fellows course.
Dr Lichaa started and built a regional program dedicated to the interventional treatment of complex coronary artery disease, chronic limb threatening ischemia and deep venous disease. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the interventional cardiology council at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart.
Dr Lichaa has been a national and international speaker at multiple annual meetings of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, European Association for Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, American College of Cardiology and Trans-Catheter Therapeutics congress. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and the Society for Vascular Medicine.
He served as a chairman of the clinical practice taskforce committee at the Society for vascular medicine, a member of the vascular council of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interverventions and a member of the American College of Cardiology Tennessee council. He also serves as an abstract reviewer for the American College of Cardiology and as a peer-to-peer reviewer for major cardiovascular journals.
Finally, Dr Lichaa has authored numerous academic publications in major cardiovascular journals with special focus on new interventional techniques that optimize procedural safety. He is also an active inventor and is constantly striving to invent cardiovascular devices which fill significant clinical needs and optimize procedural outcomes.
