Dana Fletcher, DO

Dr. Fletcher is a board-certified endocrinologist with 18 years of clinical practice experience in both private and hospital owned practices.


She is highly skilled in performing thyroid fine needle aspirations (biopsies), thyroid ultrasound interpretation and bone density interpretation. She has also earned a certification in health coaching.


She believes that patient education, collaboration, and taking time to understand each patient’s goals and challenges are keys to achieving meaningful health outcomes.

Dr. Fletcher is a board-certified endocrinologist with 18 years of clinical practice experience.

She is also highly skilled in thyroid needle aspirations, thyroid ultrasound
interpretation, bone density interpretation, continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump management.

Throughout her medical career, Dr. Fletcher has enjoyed and remained dedicated to delivering evidence-based care for her patients. She believes
that, in addition to medical expertise, meaningful health outcomes require attention to detail, persistence, and prioritizing patient health and well-being above all else. She emphasizes that sustainable improvements in health and quality of life are built on patient education, trust, and taking the time to listen and understand each patient’s unique challenges, goals, and expectations.

Dr. Fletcher practiced in a large multispecialty private practice for the first portion of her career, and later went on to join the University of Michigan-Sparrow Health System Diabetes and Endocrinology Center.

She is currently working at the Michigan State University Department of Biomedical Engineering as a physician researcher in studies involving Multiple Sclerosis as well as a consultant for a phase 1 clinical trial involving a potential new treatment for Type 1 diabetes.
