Saddam Abisse, MD, FACC, FASE is currently Chief of Cardiology at Ellis hospital, and he is a practicing clinical non-invasive cardiologist at Cardiology Associates of Schenectady - St. Peter's Health Partners. He also holds the following leadership positions: Director of Echocardiography laboratory at Ellis Hospital and Chairman of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) Committee at Ellis Hospital and Director of Cardiac Amyloidosis program.
Dr. Abisse grew up in NYC, went to high school in NYC, and graduated valedictorian and NY times scholar. He earned his BS in biochemistry from Union College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Then he completed medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Subsequently he served his internship and residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he earned the Lawrence Reardon Professionalism Award. After completing residency, he worked for one year as an attending physician at the Veterans Affair Medical Center in Pittsburgh. He moved back to the northeast for his cardiology fellowship at Brown University in Providence, RI, where he was elected Chief Cardiology Fellow.
