There are certain scenarios where medications might be used. The first scenario prior to surgery, medications might be given to make your blood pressure normal or to prevent spikes in your blood pressure during a surgical procedure that could harm a patient. In other circumstances, a medication called metyrosine has given imagine that a pheochromocytoma is like a little factory creating too much catacholamines, which function like adrenaline. Metyrosine stops the manufacturing of these catecholamine substances.
