Arthritis is a common term used to describe joint related symptoms. Arthritis is not a diagnosis, but rather a sign or symptom of a disease. In a strict medical term, arthritis means inflammation in a joint. We use this term in general to describe any joint-related symptoms, but be mindful, not all joint symptoms are due to inflammation.
