Well, we talked about how the most common reason for cardiogenic shock is a heart attack. So if you’re having signs and symptoms of a heart attack, it’s really important to get attention. Time is muscle, we say in cardiology. The sooner you get attention for a heart attack, the less the damage, the less the damage, the less the likelihood of developing cardiogenic shock. So if you’re starting to get chest pain, pressure, tightness, shortness of breath, and all the symptoms that we’ve described for heart attack, it’s really important to call 911 and get immediate attention.
