Transcript

The most common reason for somebody to develop cardiogenic shock is a heart attack, but there are other reasons people can develop cardiogenic shock. What happens is the heart muscle is damaged from a heart attack or weakened in such a way where it can’t pump effectively. The tissues don’t get enough cardiac output. The tissues start to fail. The acid builds up in the body and the patient gets in further distress.
