Stage 1 colon cancers were usually caught very early. They have lower risk and were completely removed at the time of surgery. You will follow up with your oncologist to determine how often you need to be seen, and they will monitor you carefully for signs of recurrence. These patients usually do not receive chemotherapy after surgery.
