Dry Skin – Overview

Hi, I’m Dr. Bari Cunningham, board certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist in Encinitas, California. I practice at Comprehensive Dermatology Group. And even though we live in a pretty temperate climate here in San Diego, we still often get asked how to take care of dry skin. Dry skin seems to be more of a problem in the winter months, when we spend more time indoors and forced heat reduces the amount of humidity in the air. The lack of humidity dries out our skin, and there are simple steps that we can take to try to combat that dryness.
