It is not uncommon for a patient to get out of bed in the morning and start feeling pain on the bottom of their feet. This man fact be plantar fasciitis, which is an inflammatory condition that is caused from lack of stretching exercises that a patient should do on a regular basis. This needs to be evaluated by the orthopedic surgeon to determine if that diagnosis is in fact correct. There are many other reasons why patients could have pain in the bottom of their feet, but one of the most common ones is plantar fasciitis, and most of the patients with this condition can be treated with orthotics, injection therapy, stretching therapy, casting, or other such types of conservative management that work very well.
