Gallbladder Removal – Post Surgery Advice

share

Transcript

Generally speaking, removal of the gallbladder is very well tolerated. There could be a little bit of diarrhea initially, but that is really usually very time limited and no particular treatment needs to be instituted or started. And the patients will go back to their usual lifestyle. Because they will feel well, they will eat more. And so you have to let the patients know in advance that please, still, you have to be very mindful of what you eat, because it’s really not for your gallbladder that you have to eat properly, but it’s for your general well-being, your heart health, your liver functioning normally. These are the things that we have to be careful. Exercise, good nutrition.
