Many patients ask me, how long is a laminectomy scar? Well, it depends on how many levels in the spine need to be treated. A one-level surgery will have a shorter scar than a three or four level surgery. It is important to also be aware that the surgical scar or incision is only half the story. It is just as important that the muscles and ligaments deep in the spine are also preserved.
