A person should seek medical attention if they’re increasingly having trouble walking and they frequently need to sit down to relieve leg discomfort. If they find that they need increasing medications or higher doses of medications, or they’re not able to exercise, they should seek medical attention. It should be noted that some patients may complain of leg pain or thigh pain, and they might feel it’s due to a spinal problem. But in reality, it could be from something else. They may have a circulation problem in their legs. When arteries get blocked in the legs, it can create signs that are very similar to what someone might feel if they had a pinched nerve. This is why many patients who have leg pain or trouble walking will often be considered to get tested for circulatory issues before considering a lumbar spinal procedure. Many patients might see a cardiologist or a vascular surgeon because in some cases, some patients may even have both conditions affecting the legs.
