Transcript

There are several genetic mutations that can lead to ovarian cancer, such as BRCA mutations. You might hear us call them as BRCA mutations. Or, Lynch syndrome. Women with a personal history of breast cancer, those with a strong family history of breast cancer and / or ovarian cancer and those with a history of endometriosis, early menses, late menopause, obesity, delayed childbearing, or those who have not had kids, are all at risk. Average age of diagnosis is late fifties to early sixties. However, high-risk women can be diagnosed at a much earlier age.
