Postpartum Depression – Risk Factors

share

Transcript

At its most basic, postpartum depression is an illness that can affect anyone and everyone, regardless of if they’re a pro with newborns or not. But there are some things that make someone more adverse than others. For example, if you or a family member already have a history of depression or even bipolar disorder. If you have major life stressors going on already, could be a result of the pandemic, like money issues, lack of support or other things affecting your life. If you’re younger than 20, you’re more prone to it as well. And if your baby has been diagnosed or need additional attention or care, you’re also at risk.
