So surgery is given with an ischemic stroke, but if you had a hemorrhagic stroke, you may require one of several procedures, depending on how severe it was and what happened. Here, you have a bunch of options if there’s a lot of blood in your skull and you may need surgery to release the pressure, or if your stroke happened because of your blood vessels, they may perform surgery to correct their shape. If your stroke happened because of an aneurysm, there is a procedure called surgical clipping that closes the blood vessel that burst.
