Transcript

A urinary tract infection or UTI technically is a term that can be used for an infection involving any part of the urinary tract, including the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and prostate. However, when using the term “UTI,” people are typically referring to a bladder infection only. Some common symptoms include increased urinary frequency, urgency to urinate, a burning sensation during urination, and pain that travels toward the back and side. Most often, UTIs can be treated successfully with a course of antibiotics.
